store the proper lever stroke.

Do not ride the motorcycle un-
til the front brake lever has
been "pumped"several times to
extend the pads and restore the
proper lever stroke and f"arm
feel.

If the front wheel has to be re-
moved, it is very important 'to
have the loosenedbolts torqued
to the proper specifications.
We suggest that you have-this
performed by an authorized
Suzuki dealer.
CAUTION
.
Locate the speedometer drive
gear box so that the cable is
routed smoothly without an
excessivebent.
.
Do not twist or bend the brake
hoses excessively when instal-
ling the brake calipers.
REAR WHEEL REMOVAL
(1) Place the motorcycle on the cen-
ter stand.

(2) Removethe ,screw'
CD
and axle
nut~.

Be.careful not to touch the mumer
when it is hot; a hot muffler can
bum you.

Loosen the chain adjuster
nut
(ID.
(4) Draw out the axle shaft.
(5) With the wheel moved forward,
remove
the
chain
from
the
sprocket.
(6)
Pull the rear wheel assembly
rearward.

CAUTION
Never depress the rear brake pedal
with the rear wheel removed. It is
very difficult to force the pads
back into the caliper assembly.
(7) To replace the wheel reverse the
complete sequence listed.
(8) After installing the wheel, apply
the brake several times and then
check
that
the
wheel
rotates
freely.
WARNING
.
When. reinstalIing the rear
wheel, be sure to follow the
procedure outlined in the
Drive Chain Adjustment sec-
tion.

If you have found it necessary
to remove the rear wheel, it is
very important that the nuts be
torqued to the proper specifi-
cation. We strongly recommend
that
you have these bolts
checked and retorqued by your
authorized Suzki dealer.

Do not ride the motorcycle un-

tend the pads and restore the
proper pedal travel and f"arm
feel.
LIGHT BULB REPLACEMENT
The wattage rating of each bulb is
shown on the chart below. When re-
placing a burned out bulb, always
use the exact same wattage rating.
Using other than the specified rating
can result in overloading the electri-
cal system or premature failure of a
bulb.
