    Hybrid System Your vehicle is a hybrid vehicle. It has characteristics different from conventional vehicles. Be sure you are closely familiar with the characteristics of your vehicle, and operate with care. The hybrid system combines the use of a gasoline engine and an electric motor (traction motor) according to driving conditions, improving fuel efficiency and reducing exhaust emissions.

This mode allows you to drive in residential areas late at night, or in indoor parking lots etc. without concern for noises and exhaust gas emissions.

    Cruise Control (if equipped) Use the cruise control to maintain a set speed without depressing the accelerator pedal. In vehicle-to-vehicle distance control mode, the vehicle automat- ically accelerates or decelerates in order to maintain a set following distance from vehi- cles ahead.
