Getting Started

Listening to the radio

The following steps show you how to
tune in to FM and AM radio broadcasts
using the automatic, manual and
CLR
high-speed tuning functions. Once you
are tuned to a station you can
memorize the frequency for recall
later—see Saving station presets on
the following page for how to do this.

1 Press TUNER FM/AM to
select the tuner.
Press repeatedly to switch between FM
DISP
and AM bands.

2 Tune to a station.
There are three ways to do this:

• Automatic tuning

To search for stations in the currently
selected band, press and hold either the
1 or ¡ button for about a
second. The system will start searching
for the next station, stopping when it
has found one. Repeat this step to
> ! "
search for other stations.
• Manual tuning
To change the frequency one step at a
time, press the 1 or ¡ buttons.
• High-speed tuning
Press and hold the 1 or ¡ button
for high speed tuning, releasing the
button once you reach the frequency
you want.
• It's also possible to use the 5 and
∞ buttons for tuning.

1 Appuyez sur TUNER FM/AM
pour sélectionner le tuner.
Appuyez plusieurs fois pour passer
parmi les bandes FM et AM.

2 Accordez une station.
Il y a trois manières de faire :

• Accord automatique

Pour rechercher des stations dans la
bande actuellement sélectionnée,
appuyez et maintenez enfoncée soit la
touche 1 soit ¡ pendant environ
un seconde. L'appareil se mettra à
rechercher la station suivante,
s'arrêtant quand il en a trouvée une.
Répétez cette opération pour rechercher
d'autres stations.

• Accord manuel

Pour changer de fréquence un pas à la
fois, appuyez sur les touches 1 ou
¡.
• Accord haute vitesse
Appuyez et maintenez enfoncée la
touche 1 ou ¡ pour accorder à
haute vitesse, en relâchant la touche
une fois que vous avez atteint la
fréquence souhaitée.
• Il est également possible d'utiliser
les touches 5 et ∞ pour accorder.
