Are the batteries used up?
Is the remote control pointed at the sensor?
Is the remote control too far from or too close to the sensor?
Is direct sunlight or other intense light (such as an inverter fluorescent
lamp) striking the sensor?
Is another remote control being used at the same time?
Are the batteries inserted in the correct direction?
Is the manufacturer code set correctly?
Is the remote control selector button (TV, VCR or DVD) corresponding to
the component pressed?
