TROUBLESHOOTING
TROUBLE
Engine overheats
FI lamp is blinking / lights up
Engine stalls while driving
High oil consumption
Headlight and position light fail
Turn signal, brake light and horn
do not function
Time is not displayed or not cor-
rectly displayed

CAUSE
Defect fan or thermoswitch for fan
Air in the cooling system
Error in the injection system
No fuel
The fuse for the ignition or fuel pump
is blown
Engine oil level too high
Engine oil too thin (viscosity)
Kink in engine vent hose
Blown fuse
Sicherung durchgeschmolzen
Blown fuse, thus no continuous
power supply
REMEDY
Contact an authorized KTM workshop.
Bleed the cooling system (see Maintenance work)
Visit an authorized KTM workshop
Refuel
Replace fuse 1, 2 or 4
Check engine oil level when the engine is warm; correct if
necessary
Use thicker engine oil; see chapter „Engine oil"
Remove the seat, move the tank back and check engine vent
hoses
Replace fuse 7
Replace fuse 6
Replace fuse 2 and set the clock.
