Touchpads Touchpads powered from supplies that do not have a backup battery will not function if AC power is lost. Make sure to power at least one touchpad in each partition from the control’s auxiliary power output. Use a UL Listed, battery-backed supply for UL installations. The battery supplies power to these touchpads in case of AC power loss.

  • Page 24: Test Procedures

Test Procedures After the installation is complete, you should perform the following tests: System Test: Checks that all zones have been installed properly and the system properly responds to faults. Dialer Test: Checks that the phone connection to the central station is working properly. Go/No Go Test: Checks that transmissions can be received from transmitters.
  • Page 25 Go/No Go Test Mode The Go/No Go Test verifies adequate RF signal strength from the proposed transmitter location, and allow you to reorient or relocate transmitters if necessary, before mounting the transmitters permanently. This mode is similar to the Transmitter Test mode, except that the wireless receiver gain is reduced. This will enable you to make sure that the RF signal from each transmitter is received with sufficient signal amplitude when the system is in the normal operating mode.
