Taking Pictures in k (AUTO) Mode

This section describes how to take pictures in AUTO mode. AUTO mode is automatically selected the
fi rst time the camera is turned on; for information on restoring AUTO mode after shooting in other
modes, see page 31.

Turn the camera on.
Press the n button to turn the
camera on.

Check the battery level.
Check the battery level in the monitor.

Indicator Indicator
q (white)
Battery partially discharged.
w (white)
Battery more than half discharged.
e (red)
Low battery. Charge as soon as
possible.
r (blinks red) Battery exhausted. Turn camera off
and charge battery.
