Flue Baffle Inspection and Replacement
Step 1. Position the on/off switch of the gas
control valve to the "OFF" position and
unplug the water heater from the wall
outlet.
Step 2. Disconnect the vent system from the
draft hood that is mounted on top of the
damper.
Step 3. Remove the draft hood from the
damper and retain it for later use.
Step 4. Disconnect the cord sets from the
damper.
Step 5. Remove the 2 screws from the damper
mounting screws using a ¼" nut driver
and retain for later.
