ON/STANDBY button (33)
Sets the AV receiver to On or Standby.
B
STANDBY indicator (33)
Lights up when the AV receiver is on Standby and
flashes while a signal is being received from the
remote controller.

Input selector buttons (39)
Select the following input sources: DVD,
VCR/DVR, CBL/SAT, AUX, TAPE, TUNER, CD.
The [MULTI CH] button selects the multichannel
DVD input.

Remote-control sensor (12)
Receives control signals from the remote controller.

Display
See "Display" on page 8.

SETUP button
Opens and closes the setup menus.
G
TUNING, PRESET, Arrow, and ENTER
buttons
When AM or FM is selected, the TUNING [

] buttons are used for radio tuning, and the PRE-
SET [
] [
] buttons are used to select radio pre-
sets (see page 45). With the setup menus, they work
as arrow buttons and are used to select and set
items. The ENTER button is also used with the
setup menus.

RETURN button
Selects the previously displayed setup menu.

MASTER VOLUME control (39)
Sets the volume of the AV receiver to Min, 1
through 79, or Max.

PHONES jack (41)
This 1/4-inch phone jack is for connecting a stan-
dard pair of stereo headphones for private listening.

PURE AUDIO button and indicator (48)
Selects the Pure Audio listening mode. The indica-
tor lights up when this mode is selected. Pressing
this button again selects the previous listening
mode.

CINEMA FILTER button (58)
Turns the Cinema Filter function on or off.

LATE NIGHT button (58)
Turns the Late Night function on or off.
N
TONE, –, and + buttons (57)
Used to adjust the tone (bass and treble).

MOVIE/TV button (48)
Selects the listening modes intended for use with
movies and TV.
P
MUSIC button (48)
Selects the listening modes intended for use with
music.
Q
GAME button (48)
Selects the listening modes intended for use with
video games.
R
DISPLAY button (41)
Displays various information about the currently
selected input source.
S
DIGITAL INPUT button (37)
Used to assign digital inputs to input selectors.
T
RT/PTY/TP button (47)
Used with RDS (Radio Data System). See "Using
RDS" on page 46.
