    Reading Magnetic Stripes To use the magnetic stripe reader, the terminal must have an application installed which accepts magnetic stripe data. A sample application is available for reference at http://devzone.symbol.com.

    To connect the MSR 8000 to a serial device: Serial Port To Serial Device Note: The MSR8000 can connect to and communicate with a serial device, such as a printer or host computer, through this port. For communication setup, refer to the PDT 8000 Series Product Reference Guide.
