Cleaning the battery terminals
Remove the battery (p. 58).
 Mild corrosion (white powder on the
terminals):
Wipe after applying warm water.
 Severe corrosion:
Use sandpaper or a wire brush.
Coat the terminals lightly with Petroleum
Jelly or other "non-conductive" grease and
install the battery.
If the battery is to be replaced, replace with
the maintenance free battery.
< Ensure that you dispose of the old battery
correctly and in line with EPA
requirements>
