3. Carefully remove the battery cover.
Note: Do not touch the battery contacts or
the printed circuit board with the
screwdriver.
4. Turn the remote control over to remove
the battery.
5. Install a new battery with the + facing
upward.
6. Reinstall the battery cover.
Note: Do not wipe off any grease on the
battery terminals or on the back surface of
the circuit board.
Note: You do not need to reprogram the
remote control after you have replaced its
battery, it should operate normally.
Locating Your Vehicle
Press the lock button on the key twice
within three seconds. The direction
indicators flash.

Keys and Remote Controls
The direction indicators do not flash if:
• Locking was not successful.
• Any door or the liftgate is open.
• The hood is open on vehicles with an
anti-theft alarm.
