Splitting the Keyboard Into Two Sections for Four-Hand
Performances (Twin Piano Mode)
You can divide the keyboard into two separate sections, allowing two people to perform in the same registers.

1. While holding down the [Split] button and press
the [Piano] button.
The [Split] button's indicator will light, and Twin Piano
Mode is switched on.
2. To exit the function, while holding down the
[Split] button and press the [Piano] button once
more.

G The following occur when Twin Piano Mode is switched
on:
• The keyboard is divided into two separate sections, and
the pitch changes.
• The right pedal now functions as the damper pedal for
the right keyboard section, and the left pedal functions
as the damper pedal for the left keyboard section.
• The center pedal now functions as the Sostenuto pedal
for the right keyboard section.
• If recording is in progress or the instrument is in
recording standby, recording is stopped or recording
standby is cancelled. The [Rec] button is disabled while
Twin Piano Mode is active.
• If the Split function happens to be on, it is switched off.
• The same tone and effects are used on both the left and
right sides. If the piano is in Split Play before switching
Twin Piano Mode on, then the tone selected for the
right hand in Split Play is used.
The damper resonance function is not operational in
NOTE
Twin Piano Mode.
