Engine warm-up
Starting a warm engine
1. Throttle Position / Stop

1. Recoil starter handle
Engine operation

Once the engine starts, allow it to warm up for 2 to 3 minutes
at idling (i.e. low speed).

Warming the engine helps to lubricate its internal workings
more smoothly. Allow the engine to warm up fully, especially
when it is cold.
3.
Never run the engine without the blower pipes fitted.
The starting procedure is the same as Cold Start except DO
NOT close the choke.
1. Throttle Position / Stop Switch Button
Slide Throttle Position / Stop Switch Button back to idle posi-
tion (first detent away from stop position).
2. Purge Bulb
Pump purge bulb until fuel is visible.
3. Recoil Starter
Pull recoil starter handle and engine should start.
NOTE
If engine does not start after 5 pulls, use cold start procedures.
