 Close the dust compartment lid se‐
curely, making sure it clicks into posi‐
tion. Take care not to trap the dust‐
bag when doing so.
The exhaust filter change indicator
shows the remaining functional life of
the exhaust filter. After approx. 50 oper‐
ating hours, or approx. one year of
average use, the display will be com‐
pletely filled with red (dia. 12).
Using the accessories sup‐
plied (dia. 13)

 Crevice nozzle

For cleaning in folds, crevices or
corners.
 Dusting brush with natural bris‐
tles (only available in selected
countries)
For cleaning skirting boards, or‐
nate and carved objects. The
head can be swivelled to adjust
the angle.

 Upholstery nozzle

For cleaning upholstery, mattress‐
es, cushions, curtains, covers etc.
To open the accessories compart‐
ment (dia. 14)
 Press the release button on the ac‐
cessories compartment lid.
The accessories compartment will then
open.
 Take out the accessory you require.
 Press down firmly on the lid to close
it.
AllTeQ floorhead (dia. 15)
For general use and also for vacuuming
the stairs.

For safety reasons when vac‐
uuming stairs it is best to start at the
bottom of the stairs and move up‐
wards.
Miele offer a range of other floor‐
heads, brushes and accessories for
other types of flooring and special re‐
quirements (see "Optional accesso‐
ries").

Use

Unwind the mains cable (dia. 16)
 Pull the mains cable out to the re‐
quired length (max. cable length ap‐
prox. 7.5 m).
 Insert the plug into the socket cor‐
rectly and switch on.

If vacuuming for longer than 30
minutes, the mains cable must be
pulled out to its fullest extent. Other‐
wise there is a danger of overheating
and damage.
To rewind the cable (dia. 17)
 Switch off at the wall socket and re‐
move the plug.
 Press the rewind foot switch briefly.
The cable will rewind automatically.
To switch on and off (dia. 18)
 Press the On/Off foot control .
