OVERWRITE SETTINGS FOR TEXT, E-MAIL, AND PICTURE MESSAGES
When the message memory is full, your phone cannot send or receive any
new messages. However, you can set your phone to automatically replace
old messages in the Inbox and Outbox folders when new ones arrive.
1 Press Menu 01-6-1 (Messages > Message settings > Text
messages). After a brief pause, a list of options appear in the display.
2 Scroll to Overwriting in sent items or Overwriting in inbox and
press Select.
3 Scroll to Allowed and press Select to replace the old messages with
new ones in the Sent items or Inbox folder, respectively.
Function
Set GPRS as the preferred method of sending
text messages.
Allow the recipient of your message to send you a reply
message via your message center (network service).
Select the message type Text, E-mail, Page, or Fax.
Define how long the network attempts to send your
messages before it gives up.
For e-mail messages, the default number used to
send e-mail.
Request the network to send delivery reports on
your messages.
Change the name of the selected sending profile; the
sending profile sets display only if your SIM card supports
more than one set.
