TROUBLESHOOTING
Engine Stops or Loses Power
Possible Cause
Out of fuel
Kinked or plugged fuel vent line
Water is present in fuel
Fouled or defective spark plug(s)
Worn or defective spark plug wires
Incorrect spark plug gap or heat range
Loose ignition connections
Low battery voltage
Incorrect fuel
Clogged air filter
Reverse speed limiter malfunction
Electronic throttle control malfunction
Other mechanical failure
Overheated engine

Engine Overheating

Possible Cause
Debris lodged in screen
Plugged Radiator

Solution
Refuel, cycle key to ON position three
times for 5 seconds each, then start
Inspect and replace
Replace with new fuel
Inspect, clean and/or replace spark plugs
Your POLARIS dealer can assist.
Set gap to specs or replace plug
Check all connections and tighten
Recharge the battery to 12.8 VDC
Replace with fresh recommended fuel
Inspect and clean or replace

Clean radiator screen and core, clean
engine exterior. Your POLARIS dealer

Solution
Clean the screen.
Use a garden hose to flush any debris
from the radiator fins. NOTICE: High
pressure washers can deform the radiator
fins and reduce cooling efficiency.
