Configuration
Authentication: Depending on your network security requirements, the camera
provides three types of security setting for streaming via RTSP Protocol: disable,
basic, and digest. If basic authentication is selected, the password is sent in plain
text format, but there can be potential risks of it being intercepted. If digest
authentication is selected, user credentials are encrypted using MD5 algorithm,
thus providing better protection against unauthorized access.
Access Name for Stream 1 ~ 4: This camera supports multiple streams
simultaneously. The access name is used to differentiate the streaming source. If
you want to use an RTSP player to access the camera, you have to set the video
mode to H.264 and use the following RTSP URL command to request transmission
of the streaming data.
Multicast and Unicast Streaming Protocols
You may choose to enable multicast or unicast for your camera audio and video
streaming so that your cameras (sources) and the receivers (clients) can establish
the connection to send and receive contents.
