The Cat&Dog accessories are desig-
ned for fast and thorough cleaning of
households with pets.
They can be connected to the following
Miele canister vacuum cleaners.
– S 4000 – S 4999
– S 5000 – S 5799
– S 6000 – S 6799
Using the accessories
(see illustrations on pages 2 and 3)
a Flexible crevice nozzle
Tool for cleaning hard-to-reach pla-
ces.
b Active Air Clean exhaust filter
Removes odors caused by the dirt in
the dust bag.
c Hand-held Turbobrush
For cleaning upholstered furniture,
car seats, carpeted stairs, etc.
The rotation of the roller brush helps
the removal of hairs and lint.
Observe the cleaning instructions of
the manufacturer of the surface to
be cleaned.
d Hygiene seal
Reduces the escape of dust and
odors from the dust bag when it is
removed from the vacuum cleaner.
Maintenance of the Hand-held
Turbobrush
,
Always turn off and unplug the
vacuum cleaner before cleaning or
performing maintenance work on the
Hand-held Turbobrush.
Removing threads and hairs
^ With a pair of scissors, cut any thre-
ads or hairs that have become tan-
gled on the roller brush. To guide the
scissors, follow the guide track in the
roller.
^ Then turn the vacuum cleaner on to
vacuum up the bits.
For stubborn dirt or blockages inside
the Hand-held Turbobrush, the cover
can be opened. Any large particles in-
side it can then be easily removed.
^ Rotate the grip a so the release but-
ton is in the center of the guide.
^ Press release button b and pull the
grip out c of the Hand-held Turbo-
brush until it clicks.
^ Flip the top part of the casing up until
it clicks and remove any debris from
the inside of the casing and from the
brush roller.
^ Close the casing and push the grip
back into position until it clicks into
place over the release button.
