(aperture dial to S, shutter speed dial to A) or

aperture (largest
f-number).
With AF Nikkor lenses, lock lens
aperture at minimum setting. (See
the lens instruction manual).
With the Nikon F·401/N4004 , th is
procedure is unnecessary because
the lens is always locked at the
smallest aperture.
