Fitting and removing the
The shear blade (4) has been

pins (Fig. B), locate the blade cover
(6) and slide it forward (fig. C).

for the first time, or after prolonged
storage, it will only accept an 80%
charge. After several charge and discharge cycles, the battery will attain full
capacity. The battery may become warm while charging; this is normal and
does not indicate a problem.
WARNING
temperatures below 36° F (2°C) or above 104°F (40°C).
Recommended charging temperature: Approximately 75°F (24°C).
• Note: The charger plug incorporates lock outs to prevent the use of incorrect
chargers. The plug must be correctly oriented when inserted.
• Insert the charger plug into the charger connector at the rear of the
tool (fig. D).
• Plug the charger into a 120V outlet.
• Charge the tool for 16 hours before first use.
• The charger indicator light will come on
For catalog numbers GSL35, GSL75:
indicating that the tool is charging.
• When the charge is complete the light will go out.
• The charger indicator light will come on indicating
For catalog numbers GSN30, GSN32, GSN35:
that the tool is charging.
• The light will stay on as long as the charger is connected to the
tool and plugged into a working outlet.
• It WILL NOT flash, or go out when the charging cycle is complete. To
maximize the lifetime of the battery, it is recommended to keep the battery
connected to the charger whenever the tool is not in use. When the battery is
full, the power consumption of the charger is negligible.
