Section 3 - Troubleshooting
This chapter provides solutions to problems that can occur during the installation and operation of the DFE-530TX+. Read the
following descriptions if you are having problems.
1. How do I know if my adapter is installed properly?
Please refer to the previous page to verify your adapter was installed properly.
2. The computer does not recognize the DFE-530TX+ PCI Adapter.
Make sure that the DFE-530TX+ PCI Adapter is properly seated in the computer's PCI slot.
If Windows® does not detect the hardware upon insertion of the adapter, make sure to completely remove drivers that were
previously loaded.
3. Why aren't there any link lights lit on my D-Link PCI Network Adapter?
If you do not have any lights lit on your D-Link adapter, try the following:
• Make sure drivers are loaded OK in device manager. If there is a yellow exclamation mark, then the drivers are not loaded
properly.
• Verify that the adapter is correctly seated all the way down in PCI slot.
• Try a different PCI slot.
• Try a different Ethernet cable. If you pinned the cable yourself, please try a store-bought cable.
• Try a shorter Ethernet cable.
• Disable any other network adapters.
