Noise
(Playback) Cancellation**

Settings (*: Initial setting)
Reduces unwanted ambient noise when using the
supplied stereo headphones for noise canceling.
ON/OFF:
Sets the noise canceling function to enabled or
disabled.
ON*: The noise canceling function is enabled.
OFF: The noise canceling function is disabled.
Select NC Environment:
Sets the digital filter that is most suitable for
reducing ambient noise at the location when "ON/
OFF" is set to "ON."
Bus/Train*: Most effective at reducing noise in a
train or bus.
Airplane: Most effective at reducing noise in an
airplane.
Office: Most effective at reducing noise in an
office.
Set Noise Cancel level:
Adjusts the microphone sensitivity of the supplied
stereo headphones for noise canceling in 31 steps
(–15 to +15). The noise cancel level is set to "0"
when you use the IC recorder.
A low-level portion of a recorded file can be amplified,
allowing you to hear even low/small voices more
easily.
Maximum:
Adjusts the digital voice up function more
effectively.
Medium:
Adjusts the digital voice up function less finely.
OFF*:
Disables the digital voice up function.
