Preparations for diagnosis
Note : Even if the unit shown in the photos and illustrations in this manual may differ from your product, the procedures
described here are common.
Jig cable (VSX-84TXSi)
• 24P board to board extension jig cable (GGD1491)
• 30P board to board extension jig cable (GGD1492)
[Procedures]

Remove the bonnet.

Remove the BRIDGE1 Assy.

Remove the HDMI shield, first removing the six screws.

Remove the five screws that secure the HDMI connector to the rear panel.
Remove the two screws that secure the 1394 connector to the rear panel. (VSX-84TXSi)

Remove the rivet that secures the HDMI & 1394 Assy.

Remove the HDMI & 1394 Assy.
7
Connect the two extension jig cables.
8
Connect a cable between the HDMI connector and the chassis.
9
Connect the BRIDGE1 Assy.
