Cleaning the DHW cylinder

Note
DIN 1988 requires a visual inspection and (if necessary) cleaning every two
years after the cylinder has been taken into use and thereafter according to
requirements.
1. Drain the DHW cylinder.
2. Remove flange lid A.
3. Disconnect the cylinder from the
pipework to prevent contaminants
entering the pipe system.
Checking and replacing the magnesium anode (if required)
Check the magnesium anode. We recommend you change the magnesium
anode if it has been reduced down to 10 to 15 mm Ø.

4. Remove loose deposits with a high
pressure cleaner.

Please note
Only use plastic utensils for
cleaning the inside of the
cylinder.
5. Use a chemical cleaning agent to
remove hard deposits that cannot
be removed by a high pressure
cleaner.

Please note
Never use hydrochloric
cleaning agents.
6. Thoroughly flush the DHW cylinder
after cleaning.
