VII. WARNINGS: FOR SAFE USE
Before you assist a user, be sure to read the warnings "For Attendants" (section
V-K) and follow all instructions that apply. Be aware that you will need to learn
safe methods best suited to your abilities.
A. LEARNING TO DO A "WHEELIE"
Doing a "wheelie" means: balancing on the rear wheels of your chair, while the
front casters are in the air. It is dangerous to do a "wheelie" as a fall or tip-over
may occur. However, if you do it safely, a "wheelie" can help you overcome curbs
and obstacles.
Follow these steps to help the user learn to do a "wheelie":
