ELECTRIC STARTER SWITCH ""

This switch is used for operating the
starter motor. With the ignition switch
in the "ON" position, the engine stop
switch in "" and the transmission in
neutral, squeeze the clutch lever and
push the electric starter switch to start
the engine.
NOTE: This motorcycle is equipped
with interlock system for the ignition
circuit and the starter circuit. The
engine can only be started if:
The transmission is in neutral and
the clutch is disengaged, or
The transmission is in gear, the
side stand is fully up and the
clutch is disengaged.
NOTE: The headlight will go off when
the electric starter switch is pushed.
NOTICE
Engaging the starter motor for
more than five seconds at a time
can damage the starter motor and
wiring harness from overheating.
Do not engage the starter motor
for more than five seconds at a
time. If the engine does not start
after several attempts, check the
fuel supply and ignition system.
Refer to the TROUBLESHOOTING
section in this manual.
THROTTLE GRIP 4
Engine speed is controlled by the
position of the throttle grip. Twist it
toward you to increase engine speed.
Turn it away from you to decrease
engine speed.
