5. Tap where you want to back up the files:
Note: If you are going to Master Reset your device, then you must back up the files to the SD Card.

6. Tap Add new to create a new back up file.
7. If desired, update the file name. Tap Continue.
Note: Make note of the file name for when you want to restore the contacts.
8. By default, all shown categories will be backed up. However, tap to clear a Check box for a category you
do not want to back up.
9. For Contacts, leave the Check box selected.
10. Tap Continue. The backup will begin.
11. When the backup finishes, tap Continue.
Backup media and pictures
To back up your media and pictures, follow these steps:
1. Connect USB cable to the phone, then to a computer.
2. On your phone, tap Media sync (MTP) when the pop-up window appears.
3. On the computer, navigate to and open the phone's disk drive and navigate to the desired folders
containing the media and pictures.
Note: To quickly back up all file folders, click on one of the file folders. Then, press and hold the Ctrl key
and then press the A key. All of the folders should become highlighted. Now drag and drop the folders.
4. Drag and drop the media and picture files into the desired folder on your computer.
5. When finished, safely disconnect the phone from the computer.
Restore apps
To restore backed up apps, follow these steps:
1. From any Home screen, tap the Apps icon.
2. Tap Backup.
3. Tap Restore.
4. Tap where you want to restore the apps:

5. Tap the backup file containing the apps. The apps backup file will appear on the screen with the Check
box(es) selected.
6. Tap Continue.
7. Tap Continue again to finish.

Restore contacts

To restore backed up contacts, follow these steps:
1. From any Home screen, tap the Apps icon.
2. Tap Backup.
3. Tap Restore.
4. Tap where you want to restore the apps:
