8. TROUBLESHOOTING

8-1 COMPRESSOR AND ELECTRIC COMPONENTS

Power source.
Check

resistance of
motor
compressor.
Check
3
resistance of
TSD-Starter.
Check OLP.

Check
5
starting state.
Remove TSD-Starter
from compressor and
measure voltage
between terminal C of
compressor and
terminal 5 or 6 of TSD.
No voltage.
Applied voltage isn't
in acceptable range.
(115V ±10%)
Check resistance
between M-C, S-C and
Open or short
M-S in motor
compressor.
Check resistance of
two terminals in
TSD-Starter.
Check resistance of two
terminals in OLP.
Check the power supply
under load.
(Compressor attempting
to re-start after being off
for 5 minutes).
(Rated voltage
±10%)?
YES
OLP disconnected?
NO
Advise customer that
power supply needs
to be checked by an
electrician.
The range of resistance is between 1~50
Replace
compressor.
Refer to page 12.
COMPRESSOR DOES NOT SWITCH ON OR
STOPS DURING RUNNING:
• Check if the connections have been properly
inserted;(see Assembly Instruction Item for det
ails).
• Check the voltage between TSD terminal "L"
and "N".
• The voltage should be according to the
Technical Specification Item.
• Check if the overload protector is tripping. If

this occurs, check the Table of Main
voltage rating

problem persist, change the TSD.
