Coolant, specified level
between MIN and MAX marks
on the expansion tank (with
cold engine)
If coolant level drops below ap-
proved level:
Have the defect corrected as
soon as possible by an autho-
rized workshop, preferably an
authorized BMW Motorrad re-
tailer.
Topping up coolant
Remove screws 1.
Pull the front of the side fairing
panel 3 outward.
Lugs 4 are pulled out of grom-
mets.
Pull side fairing panel 1 upward
out of side panel 2, paying at-
tention to lugs arrows when
doing so.
Open cap 1 of coolant expan-
sion tank and add coolant up
to specified level.
Check coolant level (
Close cap of coolant expansion
tank.
