3 CONNECTING YOUR DCH RECEIVER
Connecting Your DCH Receiver to an A/V Receiver
(Audio Only)
There are three options available for audio connections to
your A/V receiver:
Digital audio (OPTICAL S/PDIF) — optical and coaxial
Digital audio (COAXIAL S/PDIF) — optical and coaxial
Stereo audio (AUDIO L and R)
If your A/V receiver supports it, the optical S/PDIF or
coaxial S/PDIF audio outputs offer a higher level of audio
quality, including support for Dolby Digital 5.1 audio, than
the stereo audio outputs (AUDIO L and R).
