650.69-N3 UPFLOW APPLICATION Supply Plenum Connection Attach the supply plenum to the furnace outlet duct connection flanges. This is typically through the use of "S" cleat material when a metal plenum is used. The use of an approved flexible duct connector is recommended on all instal- lations. -

650.69-N3 DOWNFLOW APPLICATION DOWNFLOW FILTERS A top return filter rack is supplied with the furnace. Two 14" x 20" permanent washable filters are supplied with each unit. Refer to Downflow Application for details. Downflow furnaces typically are installed with the filters located above the furnace, extending into the return air duct. - Page 10 650.69-N3 The furnace must be isolated from the gas supply piping system by closing its individual external manual shutoff valve during any pressure testing of the gas supply piping system at test pressures equal to or less than 1/2 psig (3.48 kPa). CAUTION: Never apply a pipe wrench to the body of the combination automatic gas valve.
