CONSOLE GUIDE

OPERATION

From POWER ON, the program selections will be flashing on the right hand side of the console.
Program options are MANUAL, PROGRAM, USER or H.R.C.
Scroll through the programs using the UP and DOWN keys until the program you want is flashing.
Press MODE to select your program.

MANUAL MODE

1.
Select MANUAL from the program list.
2.
Press MODE repeatedly until your target workout function is flashing; you can choose from TIME,
DISTANCE, CALORIES, WATTS or PULSE.
3.
Use the UP / DOWN buttons to adjust your target workout function.
4.
Press START / STOP to confirm and begin your workout.
You can adjust the resistance level at any time using the UP/DOWN buttons.
NOTE: For more accurate calories readings you should enter your personal data.
Watt mode will automatically adjust the resistance level to the preset WATTS value regardless of Speed
(if achievable by adjusting the resistance between level 1 and 32).

PROGRAM MODE

You have the option to choose from 12 program profiles; P1 to P12.

Select PROGRAM from the program list.

Press MODE

Use the UP/ DOWN buttons to scroll through the program options (P1 to P12). You will see the text e.g. P1,
for one second, before the workout profile is displayed.
4.
Press MODE repeatedly until your target workout function is flashing; you can choose from TIME,
DISTANCE, CALORIES, WATTS or PULSE.
5.
Use the UP / DOWN buttons to adjust your target workout function.
6.
Press START / STOP to confirm and begin your workout.
You can adjust the resistance level at any time using the UP/DOWN buttons.
USER PROGRAM MODE
This program has a blank profile that can be preset by any user. Resistance levels from 1 to 16 can be selected
across all 16 time segments.
1.
Select USER from the program list.
2.
Press MODE
3.
Us the UP/DOWN buttons to select a resistance level in segment one.
4.
Press MODE to confirm segment one.
5.
Repeat steps three and four to select your required workout resistance for all of the 16 segments.
6.
Press START/STOP to begin your workout.
If you want a target e.g. TIME, DISTANCE or CALORIES during your workout pause the program by pressing
STOP. Then press MODE until your target workout function is flashing. Use UP/DOWN to adjust your target
workout function. Press START/STOP to resume your workout.

TARGET HEART RATE MODE

Allow the bike to adjust its resistance level to match your target heart rate zone.
1.
Select H.R.C. from the program list.
2.
Set your age (default is 25 years) using the UP/DOWN buttons
3.
Press MODE
4.
Select your heart rate program from 55%, 75%, 90% and THR (target heart rate) by using the
UP/DOWN buttons.
5.
Press MODE to select.
6.
Press START/STOP to begin your workout
Note: For THR you can calculate your target pulse using the following formula:
220bpm minus your age multiplied by the percentage required e.g. age 25 years and target zone of 75%
then (220-25)x75% = 100bpm
You should therefore enter 100 into the pulse section using the UP/DOWN buttons. Press START/STOP to begin
your workout.
RECOVERY
This function evaluates your fitness level by measuring how quickly your heart rate "recovers" over a
period of 1 minute.
1.
Press the RECOVERY button before the end of your workout.
2.
Hold the hand pulse sensors throughout the one minute count down.
3.
When the time reaches zero your recover score will be displayed (F1-F6); F1 -SUPER FIT, F2 – VERY FIT,
F3 – FIT, F4 – FAIR, F5 – UNFIT, F6 – VERY UNFIT.
4.
Press the RECOVERY key to return to the main display.
