Certi cates
Digital certi cates are used to identify your tablet in secure network connections. You will
require a certi cate for VPN or WLAN connection or for authentication with e-mail servers,
browsers or other apps. Certain certi cates are already saved to your tablet by default. You can
install further certi cates.

Supported formats

u DER coded X.509 certi cates with le extensions .CRT or .CER.
u X.509 certi cates in PKCS#12 keystore les with le extensions .P12 or .PFX. If you install a
certi cate from a PKCS#12 keystore le, the corresponding private key certi cates or
certi cation authority (CA) certi cates are also installed.
Files with di erent le extensions cannot be installed. Edit the le extension if required.
Managing certi cates

The installed certi cates are displayed.
System: Contains all certi cates issued by a certi cation authority (CA) that are permanently
installed in the write-protected memory of your tablet.
User: Contains all CA certi cates that you have installed yourself, for example, when a
client certi cate was installed.
If a certi cate is damaged or if you do not trust a certi cate, you can deactivate or delete it.

Installing client and CA certi cates
You can install additional certi cates from an SD card.
