Emissron Control Systems Warranty on your new small off-road
e n g i n e . I n C a l i f o r n i a , n e w 1 9 9 5 a n d l a t e r s m a l l o f f - r o a d e n g i n e s
m u s t b e d e s i g n e d , b u i l t a n d e q u i p p e d t o m e e t t h e S t a t e ' s
stringent anti-smog standards. In other states, new 1997 and
l a t e r m o d e l y e a r e n g i n e s m u s t b e d e s i g n e d , b u i l t a n d e q u i p p e d ,
a t t h e t i m e o f s a l e , t o m e e t t h e U . S . E P A r e g u l a t i o n s f o r s m a l l
n o n - r o a d e n g i n e s . T e c u m s e h P r o d u c t s C o . w i l l w a r r a n t t h e
emission control system on your small off-road engine for the
periods of time listed below, provided there has been no abuse,
neglect. unapproved modification, or improper maintenance of
y o u r s m a l l o f f - r o a d e n g i n e .
Y o u r . e m i s s i o n c o n t r o l s y s t e m m a y i n c l u d e p a r t s s u c h a s t h e
carburetor, ignition system and exhaust system. Also inclucied
may be the conrpression release system and other emission-
r e l a t e d a s s e m b l i e s .
Where a warrantable condition exists. Tecumseh Products Co.
w i l l r e p a i r y o u r s m a l l o f f - r o a d e n g i r r e a t n o c o s t t o y o u f o r
dragnosrs, parts and labor.

A s t h e s m a l l o f f - r o a d e n q r n e o w n e r , y o u a r e r e s p o n s i b l e f o r t h e

Manual, but Tecumseh Products Co. will not deny warranty solely
due to the lack of receipts or for yorlr failure to provide written

As tl.re small off-road engine cwner, you should, however, be
aware that Tecumseh Products Co. may deny you warranty
coverage if your small off-road engine or a part thereof has failed

warranty period. Both the ECS Warranty and ihe Tecumseh

Warranty servtce can only be performed by a i-ecumseh

Products Co. at its factory in Grafton, Wl. At the time of
requesting warranty service. evidence must be presented
o f t h e d a t e o f s a l e t o t h e o r i g i n a l p u r c h a s e r . T h e p u r o h a s e r
shall pay any charges for making service calls and/or for
transporting the products to and lrom the place where the
i n s p e c t i o n a n d / o r w a r r a n t y w o r k i s p e r f o r m e d . T h e
p u r c h a s e r s h a l l b e r e s p o n s i b l e f o r a n y d a m a g e o r l o s s
incurred in connection with the transportation of any engine
