2-4. TUNER AND IF CIRCUITS ADJUSTMENT
.
When any malfunction
occurs in the TUNER circuit the
NOTE:
whole unit must be replaced.
An adjustment of the IF circuit is shown as follows.
2-4-1. TEST EQUIPMENT
AND STANDARD
REQUIRED
The TUNER unit does not need any adjustments,
because precise adjustments have been performed
before shipment.

Connect the monitorlV
to VHF/UHF ANTENNA OUTPUT
terminal.
Connect the VHF antenna to VHF/UHF ANTENNA INPUT
terminal.
Receive the middle electrical field(70
dB~ -90 dB@ of the
VHF high channel, and slowly turn VR (RF AGC) from the
point where snow-noise is present to the point where it
just disappears from the monitor TV.
Confirm by monitor TVthatthere
is no beat and saturation
(S/N is best point) when receiving any TV channel.

TEST POINT FOR TAPE PATHADJUSTMENT
Test
point TP182 (ENV) and TP183 (SW-P)
for tape path adjustment
isshown
in Figure below.
For adjustment, refer to the Mechanism
Service Technical lnformation(WM-530599
and MS531206).
