Safety Instructions SAFETY PRECAUTIONS WARNING: The chassis of this projector is isolated (COLD) from AC line by using the converter transformer. Primary side of the converter and lamp power supply unit circuit is connected to the AC line and it is hot, which hot circuit is iden- tified with the line ( ) in the schematic diagram.

Circuit Protections This projector is equipped with the following circuit protections to operate in safety. If the abnormality occurs inside the projector, it will automatically turn off by operating one of the following protection circuits. Fuse The fuse is located inside the projector. When the Mains switch on the rear panel is turned on and the lamp indica- tor does not illuminate, fuse may be open.
Circuit Protections Warning temperature and power failure protection The TEMP WARNING indicator flashes red and the projector will automatically turn off when the internal tempera- ture of the projector exceeds the normal temperature or when stopping cooling fans or when the internal power sup- ply lines are failed.
Mechanical Disassemblies Mechanical disassemble should be made following procedures in numerical order. Following steps show the basic procedures, therefore unnecessary step may be ignored. Caution: The parts and screws should be placed exactly the same position as the original otherwise it may cause loss of per- formance and product safety.

CABINET FRONT REMOVAL 1) Remove 4 screws A on the cabinet front. 2) Push down the part B of the cabinet front by finger (slight bent cabinet downward) and remove the engagement of it. See Fig.2-1.The front and top cabinets are engaged with 4 hooks at the top and 3 hooks at the lower part.

POWER, SUB POWER BOARD and FAN(FN903, FN904) REMOVAL 1) Remove 2 screws A and 4 screws B, then remove the duct cover and FAN(FN903). 2) Remove 2 screws C and remove the Sub Power board. 3) Remove 4 screws D and remove the shield box. Lamp Replacement WARNING: Service Parts No.: 610 285 7450 Description: Lamp Assy (POA-LMP26) - For continued safety, replace with a lamp assembly of the same type. - Allow the projector to cool for at least 45 minutes before you open the lamp cover. The inside of the projector can become very hot.
LCD Panel Replacement 1. Remove the cabinet cover following to step 1 of “Mechanical Disassemblies”. 2. Remove the FPC cable on the main board. 3. Remove 4 screws A for B-Panel, 4 screws B for G-Panel and 4 screws C for R-Panel and pull the each LCD panel upward.
Electrical Adjustments Service Adjustment Menu Operation To enter the service mode To enter the “Service Mode”, press the MENU and NORMAL button on the projector and hold for 3 seconds. Electrical Adjustments WHITE UNIFORMITY ADJUSTMENT This adjustment should be carried out when existing the color shading on the screen or after replacing the LCD panels. (When replacing the main board, the memory IC, IC806 on the main board should be replaced with the one on previous board, so that the white uniformity adjustment may not be required because the data of white uniformity adjustment are stored in this memory IC) [Before adjustment]...
Optical Adjustments FOCUS ADJUSTMENT When you replace all of LCD panels such as disassembly cleaning, etc., first adjust the G-LCD panel as the stan- dard reference, after that, adjust the R-LCD panel and B-LCD panel focus adjustments. When you replaced one of the LCD panels, adjust only the replaced LCD panel focus to put the un-replaced LCD panels focus.

Optical Adjustments CONVERGENCE ADJUSTMENT For convergence adjustment, use Green as the reference standard. Align Red and Blue with Green by adjusting the position and angle of the Red and Blue LCD panels. Screws A, B, C (Fig.3) are for convergence adjustment. [Before adjustment] - Make sure each Red, Green and Blue LCD panel unit has been correctly installed, and that all focus adjustments have been completed before performing convergence adjustments.
Optical Adjustments CONTRAST ADJUSTMENT [Before Adjustment] - Adjustment requires a 2.0mm hex driver. - Remove cabinet cover following to step1 of “Mechanical Disassemblies”. - Input a 100% of black raster signal. [R/G/B-CONTRAST ADJUSTMENT] Polarized glass 1. Insert paper etc. in front of the LCD panels to block unneces- mounting base sary lights.
Optical Adjustments INTEGRATOR LENS ADJUSTMENT [Before Adjustment] - Adjustment requires a 2.0mm hex driver and a slot screwdriver. - Remove cabinet top and cabinet front following to “Cabinet Cyan Disassemblies”. The lamp cover must be re-mounted otherwise the projector can not be turned on. - Disconnect the connectors FPC cable of LCD panels on the main unit.
Optical Adjustments RELAY LENS ADJUSTMENT [Before Adjustment] - Adjustment requires a 2.0mm hex driver and a slot screwdriver. Yellow - Remove cabinet top, cabinet front and Main Unit following to “Cabinet Disassemblies”. The Lamp cover must be re-mounted otherwise the projector can not be turned on. - Disconnect the connectors K1A, K1B, K8C, K2R, K2G, K2B and FPC cable of LCD panels on the main unit.
