Programming Scanning Modes

Scanning Modes

The following table lists the scanning modes available for
your phone.
Standard Mode
Your phone first seeks a home type system,
then a non-home type.
If home system is non-wireline (type A)
If home system is wireline (type B)
Invert Preference Mode
Your phone first seeks a non-home type
system.
(Select this mode if in a fringe area of your
home system or in certain roaming
situations.)
If home system is non-wireline (type A)
Flashing RM = call on B system
Flashing IU= call on home system
If home system is wireline (type B)
Flashing RM = call on A system
Flashing IU= call on home system
Home Only Mode
Phone will not operate outside its home
system.
Scan A Mode
Phone will operate only within non-
wireline (A) systems.
Scan B Mode
Phone will operate only within wireline
(B) systems.
