Where to Use Your GARDENA Water Computer Intended use : The GARDENA Water Computer is intended for private use in domestic and hobby gardens, exclusively for outdoor use, to control sprinklers and watering systems. The Water Computer can be used for automatic watering during holidays.

  • Page 5 The Water Computer carries out watering fully automatically according to the set programs and can therefore also be used during holidays.     4. Putting Your Water Computer into Operation Insert battery: The Water Computer must only be operated with a 9 V alkali- manganese (alkaline) battery type IEC 6LR61. 1. Remove controller from the housing of the Water Computer. 2. Insert battery in the battery compartment .
  • Page 9 Connect Water Computer : The Water Computer is fitted with a sleeve nut for taps with (G 1 " ) (33.3 mm) thread. The adaptor supplied allows the Water Computer to be connected to taps with a (G ³⁄₄ " ) thread (26.5 mm).

    Fit anti-theft device To secure your Water Computer against theft, you can obtain the (optional) : GARDENA Anti-theft device Art. No. 1815-00.791.00 from GARDENA Service. 1. Tightly screw the clamp complete with the screw into the circular groove on the rear of the water computer.

    The first program is run on Monday, the 2 program is cancelled. 6. Water Distributor automatic (optional) Connecting the GARDENA Water Distributor automatic Function Art. No. 1197 (or predecessor Art. 1198) allows you to control up to 6 watering lines with the Water Computer MaxControl.
  • Page 21 Watering must not be carried out manually, as otherwise the programmes will no longer be correctly assigned to the outlets. If program data have already been inserted beforehand, a Special function RESET must be undertaken before the special function can be set.
  • Page 22 Error message ( Error ) You can alter the watering starting times and watering times pre-programmed by the Water Computer to meet your personal requirements. However, if you do not take into account the break times mentioned above, any changes you make are not accepted and an error message appears on the display (Error).
  • Page 23 If the special function is activated and the Soil Moisture or Rain Sensor indicates sufficient moisture, watering is interrupted. The watering time of following watering programs is shortened to 30 seconds (display: min.) until the Soil Moisture / Rain Sensor allows the watering programs to be resumed. The water- ing time originally entered then begins.

    3) 2 to 5 outlets are connected without a sensor : If fewer than 6 outlets are used, and no sensor is employed, the programmes must be programmed as usual (see 5. Programming). All programmes must have the same cycle and there must be minimum pauses of 5 minutes between the programmes so that secure further switching is guaranteed.
