Connecting the IDSL Line

Plug the IDSL cable into the IDSL Connection RJ45 port on the back of the INE144.
Verify the connection; the Available IDSL Connection LED will flash steadily (once per
second) to indicate the IDSL connection is established and operational. The distance of
the copper cable connecting the local and remote network extenders will affect the
linking of the IDSL connection. The units will not link up if the distance is greater than a
particular speed will support. Link up time can vary from one to five minutes depending
on the quality and distance of the copper cable.
NOTE
The IDSL network extender subscriber unit (INE144-S) must be connected via IDSL
line to an IDSL network extender provider unit (INE144-P or INE144-P-12-AC/DC)
or an IP DSLAM Access Module (IAM144-12). A connection cannot be made
between two subscriber units.
