Troubleshooting

Aiming dot does not appear
No power to scanner
Aiming dot is disabled
Scanner decodes bar code but does not transmit data
Interface cable is loose
Transmission or format error
Invalid ADF rule
Scanner does not decode bar code
Scanner not programmed for bar code type
Bar code is unreadable
Bar code is out of aiming dot area
Scanned data incorrectly displayed on host

Connect scanner to powered host, or connect
power supply
Enable aiming dot
Reconnect the cable
Set the proper communication and conversion
parameters
Program the correct ADF rules
Enable that bar code type
Ensure the bar code is not defaced; scan a test
bar code of the same bar code type
Move the aiming dot over the bar code
Scan appropriate host parameter bar codes
Select appropriate country and language
