Only operate the rotational direction
switch / transporting safety device (11)
when the motor is at standstill.
Operate the rotational direction switch /
transporting safety device (11).
R = right-hand rotation selected
L = left-hand (reverse) rotation selected
0 = central setting: transporting position
(switch-on lock engaged)
7.4 Selecting gear
Do not operate the slide-switch (4)
unless the motor is at a standstill.
Position the slide-switch (4) as required:
= 1st gear (low speed, exceptionally high
torque)
= 2nd gear (high speed)
7.5 Setting torque control, drilling,
impact drilling
Twist the selector barrel (2).
1 = minimal torque setting
(with torque control)
drill setting
impact drill setting
(depending on equipment)
7.6 Switching impulse mode on and off
(depending on equipment)
Do not work with impulse mode
switched on over an extended period
of time (the motor is liable to overheat).
Position the slide-switch (5) as required:
0 = Impulse mode switched off
• = Impulse mode switched on
7.7 Switching the power tool on and off,
setting speed
Position the trigger-switch (9) as required.
The speed can be set to any value within its
range.
NB: The noise that occurs when the machine is
switched off is due to its design and has no
effect on its operation or service life.

7.8 Rapid-action keyless chuck
AUF, RELEASE

GRIP, ZU
Opening
Twist the sleeve (12) towards "AUF,
RELEASE".
Clamping bit
Open the rapid-action keyless chuck and insert
the bit fully.
Twist the sleeve (12) towards "GRIP, ZU" until
the mechanical resistance which can be felt is
overcome.
The bit is not yet fully tightened!
Continue to turn, exerting firm pressure (you
must hear a clicking noise as you turn) until it
cannot be turned any further - only now is the bit
safely tightened.
NB: Once the chuck has been fully opened, a
clicking noise may be heard. This is a functional
characteristic and can be cancelled by turning
the sleeve in the other direction.

Open the rapid-action keyless chuck.
a Loosen the screw (14)
(NB: left-hand thread).
