Installation Guide

Unpacking
To avoid injury, the printer must be lifted and carried by four persons or more.

Open the box as shown in the figure.

Release the tape without cutting and
open the box.

Take out the toner container box. Then,
lift the outer box up and off.
Installing the Process Units
Note: Install the printer on a flat sturdy surface.

Open the front cover and pull out the right
side transfer unit.

Remove the outer protective paper wrapped
around the process units. Remove the inner
one while gently squeezing around the center
of the process units.

Insert the black process unit.

Detach the 4 cushions from the corners.

Break open the plastic covering and ex-
tend the 4 handles.

Holding the printer by the handles, lift it
up and out of the box.

Peel off the protective film from the var-
ious parts.

Press the toner container covers inward so
that the covers fall open toward the front.

Shake them in a parallel direction 4 to 5 times
before installing them.

Return the lock lever as before.

While pressing down each lever locked in front
of the unit 1, raise the 4 printer heads 2.

Insert the process units into the printer in the
order of - from right -- 1 Magenta >>. 2 Cyan
>> 3 Yellow.

Insert the drum holder so that it hooks on the
left and right hooks, and lock in place with the
2 left and right screws.

Remove the 2 left and right screws, raise the
left and right hooks upward and pull out the
drum holder.

Before inserting the black process unit, push
the lock lever upwards to the left.
