Batteries

Your vehicle is equipped with two batter-
ies:
Main battery (battery for starter and
electrical consumers; located in the
cargo compartment).
Auxiliary battery (back-up battery; sta-
bilizes the electrical system if the main
battery is discharged; located in the en-
gine compartment).

The battery is located on the right-hand
side under a cover.
Pull cover up and detach it.
1 Negative terminal
2 Positive terminal
Warning!
Jump starting must only be done using the
designated terminal connections in the en-
gine compartment ( page 429).
