USE THIS PROBLEM SOLVER
POSSIBLE CAUSE
• This is a function error code. Press CLEAR/OFF. Allow the oven to cool one
hour. Place the oven back into operation.
• Disconnect all power to the oven for 5 minutes and then reconnect power. If the
failure code repeats, call for service.
• START not pressed.
• Door not securely closed.
• Another function was pressed. Press CLEAR/OFF twice to cancel it.
• CLEAR/OFF pressed accidentally.
• While using Timed Defrost, numbers not entered after pressing AUTO DEFROST.
• The microwave cannot be used while the timer is being used. Use the lower oven timer.
• During the Auto Sensor functions the microwave door was opened too soon. The
microwave oven door should not be opened during Auto Sensor functions.
• Call for service.
• Varying density and amount of foods will sometimes require more cooking time.
• Dish not rotated, turned or stirred as called for in the recipe.
• Too many dishes in the oven at the same time.
• Food not thoroughly defrosted.
• Improper use of coverings.
• Humidity or moisture in the oven will lessen the AUTO SENSOR cooking time.
Make sure the inside of the oven and the outside of containers are dry.
• Some standing time is recommended for certain vegetables cooked with the
Auto Sensor controls.
• An odor from the insulation around the inside of the oven is normal for the first
few times the oven is used. This is temporary.
• A cooling fan may automatically turn on and off to cool internal parts. This is
normal, and the fan may continue to run even after the oven is turned off.
• This is normal in a new oven and will disappear in time. To speed the process,
set a self-clean cycle for a minimum of 3 hours. See the Operating the Self-
Cleaning Oven section.
• The oven thermostat needs adjustment. See the Adjust the Oven Thermostat—
Do It Yourself section.
• Light bulb is loose or is burned out.
• The OVEN LIGHT pad is defective.
• The oven is in the Self-Clean function.
• The circuit breaker in your house has been tripped, or a fuse has been blown.
• Power failure. Reset the clock.
• BAKE and BROIL HI/LO must be pressed at the same time and held for
2 seconds.
