Colors Are Unclear

Cause
Color correction is not
enabled.
FINE Cartridge is not
installed properly.
Print Head Nozzles
are clogged.
Action
Click Print Options on the Page Setup
sheet. Then, select the Reduce spool data
size check box in the displayed dialog.
Selecting this option may reduce the print quality.
Delete unnecessary files to free disk space.
Action
When printing photographs or other graphics,
enabling color correction may improve color.
When printing from your
computer
In Windows, select Vivid Photo in the
Effects sheet in the printer properties dialog
box.
In Macintosh, select Special Effects in
the pop-up menu in the Print dialog box, and
then select Vivid Photo.
When performing direct printing
Select VIVID ON in the print settings.
Remove the FINE Cartridge once, then reinstall
it.
Print the nozzle check pattern, and check if there
is ink left.

If there are either missing lines or white stripes in
the nozzle check pattern, perform Print Head
Cleaning or Print Head Deep Cleaning. If the
problem still persists, the FINE cartridge may run
out of ink.
When a FINE Cartridge runs out of ink, replace it
with a new one.
