Recording/Playback sliding SW stroke adjustment
(Confirmation of noise generation when
R E C ^ STOP)
While loading the S T D - 6 0 5 A
onto D E C K 2,
confirm whether it generates noise or not when it
is put into S T O P state from R E C state.

the event noise is generated, replace the
SW connection spring by applying it as shown in
F i g . 11-4. (Be sure that the slide SW is fully pulled
when in the R E C state, and it has retumed com-
pletely when i n the S T O P state.)

Adjustment Conditions
1
1 . T h e mechanical adjustments must be
com-
pleted first.
2. T h e head must be cleaned and demagnetized.
3. A l l o w the deck to age for at least a few minutes
before commencing any electrical adjustments.
4. T h e reference signals is O d B v = l V r m s .
5. Connect a 50 kilo-ohm (or between 47 to 52
kilo-ohm) load resistance to the O U T P U T termi-
nals.
6. Unless otherwise specified, the switches listed
below are left in the positions indicated.
