5 C4 System pause position (repressurization)
The system goes into stand-by, pressurising the cylinder.
6 Waiting position
The regeneration process is interrupted whilst waiting for the cylinder in service to run out.
7 C5 Quick rinse 1 position
The water flows through the resin and rises up via the central pipe, flowing towards the drain. The residual
brine is thus eliminated.
8 C6 Backwash 2 position (valve 255 only)
The water flow is reversed by the valve on the rise pipe and rises back up from the bottom of the cylinder.
During this cycle, the bed expands and the calcium ions are flushed into the drain.
9 C7 Quick rinse 2 position (valve 255 only)
The water flows through the resin and rises up via the central pipe, flowing towards the drain. The residual
brine is thus eliminated.
10 C8 Brine replacement
The water flows to the brine vat at a controlled speed in order to create the brine for the next regeneration
cycle

3.2. HOT WATER OPERATING LOGIC

The water softener for hot water due to expected low consumption should be programmed in the regeneration
intervals based on an exchange capacity of 71,5 m
Calculation of the number of days between two regenerations
The exchange capacity is determined by the hardness of the incoming water 72 m
Calculate the expected consumption and check the capacity in relation to the hardness.
Example:
Daily consumption of 0.8 m
Incoming water hardness 30°f
72: 30 = 2.4 m 3 /cycle
2.4 m 3 /cycle: 0.8 m 3 /h = 4 days (regeneration interval)
Determine the number of regeneration intervals compared to the expected consumption by lifting the jumpers
(outwards).
Concurrent regeneration process (5 cycles)
Service - normal use
The untreated water flows downwards through the resin bed and upwards through the rising pipe. The calcium
ions attach themselves to the resin and are removed from the untreated water exchanged on the resin granules
