5.3.3.2 20 mm thru axle

CAUTION

Crash caused by loose quick release axle
A faulty or incorrectly installed thru axle may
become caught in the brake rotor and block
the wheel. This will cause a crash.
 Never fit a defective thru axle.
Crash caused by faulty or incorrectly
installed thru axle
The brake rotor becomes very hot during
operation. Parts of the thru axle may become
damaged as a result. The thru axle becomes
loose. This will cause a crash with injuries.
 The thru axle and the brake rotor must be
opposite one another.
Crash caused by incorrectly set thru axle
Insufficient clamping force will result in
unfavorable transmission of force. The
suspension fork or the quick release axle may
break. This will cause a crash with injuries.
 Never fasten the thru axle with a tool (e.g.
hammer or pliers).
1 Insert the thru axle into the hub on the drive
side.

2 Tighten the thru axle with the red handle.

3 Push red lever into the thru axle.

4 Closing the quick release lever.
