CHAPTER 3: INTERFACES
TRIGGER TIME & DATE
Displays the time and date
of the Trigger.
Display graph values
at the corresponding
cursor line. Cursor
lines are identified
by their colors.

Click on the Save to File button to save the selected waveform to the local PC. A new
window will appear, requesting the file name and path. One file is saved as a
COMTRADE file, with the extension "CFG." The other file is a "DAT" file, required by the
COMTRADE file for proper display of waveforms.
To view a previously saved COMTRADE file, click the Open button and select the
corresponding COMTRADE file.
To view the captured waveforms, click on the Launch Viewer button. A detailed
Waveform Capture window will appear as shown below.
VECTOR DISPLAY SELECT
Click here to open a new graph
to display vectors.
FILE NAME
Indicates the
file name and
complete path
(if saved).
The red vertical line indicates the trigger point.
The date and time of the trigger are displayed at the top left corner of the window. To
match the captured waveform with the event that triggered it, make note of the time
and date shown in the graph, then find the event that matches the same time in the
CURSOR LINE POSITION
Indicates the cursor line position
in time with respect to the
beginning of the buffer.
CURSOR LINES
To move lines, locate the mouse
pointer over the cursor line, then
click and drag the cursor to the
new position.
SOFTWARE SETUP
DELTA
Indicates time difference
between the two cursor
lines.
TRIGGER LINE
Indicates the point
in time for the
trigger.
